10 Mile Course
The 10 Mile race starts on the Chippewa River State Trail one
half mile southwest of of the tunnel under State Hwy 85; and follows
the scenic asphalt trail northeast
through the woods along Chippewa River. At Short Street, the Chippewa
River Trail connects with the Eau Claire City Trail and runners
continue northeast. Runners cross the river using the Clairemont
pedestrian bridge then follow the trail for 3.34 miles along the north
side of the river. At the Phoenix Park pedestrian bridge, the runners
turn west following the trail that leads to the east entrance of Carson
Park. The course continues along the east side of Half Moon Lake
and into Carson Park at the southwest entrance. The
final mile has runners climbing into the park,
passing the football and baseball stadiums
before reaching the finish line at the Paul Bunyan Logging
Park 10 course is shown to the right.
